Knowledge will KEEP us free… and save your ass!

I am in the design phase of a home electrical generation system utilizing other people’s inventions and designs. It is horrible to say that, I understand copyright law since I am a musician and depend on such protections for income. But it is acceptable to play a “cover” of a song written by a band you admire. And it is usually warmly received by the writers of that song…. so long as you don’t make money off of the playing of that song and you give credit where and when credit is due!

I am reminded of the movie “Armageddon” with Bruce Willis, where they bring him in to inspect what was wrong with the design of the drilling machine the government built. The man tells Willis’ character “You should be familiar with the design.”

Bruce Willis says “Yeah, because its my design. What did you do? Go and steal a key to the patent office?”

“Yeah, basically.”

Well… here is that “key” and, in times of crisis, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander! Let your imagination be your guide and your desire to survive be your motivation. Freedom of quality, useful knowledge is what the world needs now. Just remember… ‘Big Brother’ is watching you! Keep it on the ‘up and up’ and you’ll be allowed the ‘keys to the kingdom’.
